Unwavering Faith

In Romans 4:20, Paul tells us that Abraham did not waver in his faith concerning the promise that he would be the Father of many nations. However, as we read the Abraham story, he wasn't always on the same page as God when it came to HOW the promise was going to be fulfilled. He tried to bring about the promise by having a son, Isaac, through his wife's servant.

Abraham faced many challenges in his life. Each time his faith was challenged and he overcame the obstacle, his faith grew. Romans 4:21 says; "He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises." This simple conviction that God is faithful to His word and able to bring it to pass, guided Abraham throughout his life. In fact through faith trials, his faith grew to the point that God was able to use him in an extraordinary way. He used Abraham's unwavering faith in sacrificing his son Isaac to demonstrate one of the most profound truths humanity needs to know. That God Himself would give His own son as a sacrifice for the sins of the whole world.

God desires to grow your faith like He did with Abraham. Each time you face a trial, find a promise in the Bible that speaks to the situation. Hold on to that word unwavering, knowing that God is faithful to His word and has the power to perform it.

Listen to the full message on unwavering faith and be encouraged; your faith can grow if you do not waver. Remember, it's not the size of your faith that counts, but the size of God you put your faith in!
