It is #election2019 day today. It is appropriate that we spend some time praying for the Government and the Parliament of our nation. Before you pray, take a while to reflect on these three scriptures
Rom. 13:1. "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God."
1 Tim. 2:1-2. "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way."
Ps. 103:10. "He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities."
Regardless which party wins the election, we have a Parliamentary system that gives a voice to all elected members and allows healthy debate on all sides. It is the Parliament, not a party that governs the nation.
