Celebration of Unity - PB #49

Last week, all 6 churches in Manotick met together at Manotick Community Church for the celebration and prayer for Christian unity. Each church took a lead in part of the service and we joined together in different styles of worship. It was a significant event for Christians in Manotick with about 110 people in attendance and a combined church choir. After the service, we had a sit-down fellowship meal.

Psalm 133.

1 Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes! It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.

God commands a blessing when we come together, lay down our differences and lift up the name of Jesus. The devil hates it when we gather with a spirit of humility and pray for unity. he will do anything he can to stir up strife and division for he knows a house divided against itself cannot stand. But we have overcome the devil by the power of the blood and the word of our testimony. (Matt. 12:25; Rev. 12:11)

All of our teams did exceptionally well in hosting so many people. I want to say thank you for rising to the occasion and serving Christ and our bother brothers and sisters so selflessly and graciously. Your efforts have been praised by the other congregations.
